Juvenile Racer

woodsrider Mar 25, 2005 02:27 PM

I flipped this racer today in North Richardson Texas, I think it is Coluber Constrictor Flaviventris. That is the most common Racer that I always see in this area. I guess it could be Masticophis Flagellum??? Could any of you experts tell which one it is by the juvenile pattern. I also saw tmtc Virginia Striatula. I brought it home to photo, and I will release it back under the same board tommorrow.
thanks
Barry

Hi Barry,
I'm not an expert but I did stay at a Hoilday Innn Express last night ;P. Nice pic, but that "racer" is a highly venomous cousin of the American Mamba so please be careful..it will bite.
All the Best,
Bill
