I really liked the lobster.

They stay relatively small, there for easier for smaller animals to eat, and they don't have the armor of the hissers. That way they aren't quite as crunchy.

They also reproduce really quickly.

Best of luck.

I seem to think I'll go with the Lobster, from the info I gathered they seem to breed fast? Is this correct? Whats a good number to start with? 50? 100? 200? Got any care tips? How about good sites to purchase? I know this isnt the classifieds but I thought I'd ask. There are some on Ebay..LOL...

try blaberus cranifer(deads head roach). easy to breed and are very hardy. a great food source as well. hissers are equally interesting as well. all of these species however grow and mature very slowly. deads head roach will only be mature when they grow wings. don't worry as they cannot fly.

Why are roaches so expensive to start if they are so easy to breed and keep why are the prices so high? I've been roach shopping all day and I've checked almost all the sites and classifieds and boy are they expensive for both Lobsters and Hissers... they dont need much care or food, easy to breed...so whats up?

You want them, others have them.

You will pay to have them. Hahahahahaha!!!

I don't think people are really turning a profit on them though. They are work to maintain and like my momma always said. "If you have to pay for it then you will take care of it."

Best of luck with the little creepies.
