what is the smallest, blues, golds, reds, or B & Ws? Which is the best for a beginer with lots of other lizard experience?

I'm partial to red. If I were you I would concentrate on behavior and the the Argentine B/W's and Reds have the sweetest dispositions. You might get lucky and be able to get a docile blue or gold. With a B/W or Red the odds are much better. Get on the web sights blue tegu.com and Agama International. Bert Langerwerf at Agama will answer any questions you might have.
