This guy was actually climbing a tree when I first saw him.I got him down and took a couple shots of him,then put him back on the tree,but he ran right off after that.Enjoy the pic..

Here he was in the tree,it was a small tree,and he was only about 3 feet from the ground,if that,but pretty neat looking.I've seen them like that before too though,I bet they find lots of bugs on the tree.

This one was sunning itself all strecthed out.It was long too.Right after i took the picture he just busted a u-turn and took off fast as hell.

Where is this at? I have never seen one on a tree, however I have seen hundreds of them under boards, rocks, in old houses, etc.

Hi,
Sorry, CA.,those ensatinas and that alligator lizard were in the San Bernardnio mtns.I grew up there,and go up and down the hill evryday almost still.Great place,I love it.

They are pretty neat. I have seen those in Oregon (or at least they look the same), but not very often. I do not know my amphibians very well (except a little about toads). It is always a pleasure to see them in the wild though.
