I recently heard that if you have a
Residential Non-Game Collection Permit,
then one can legally collect horridus in texas.
Is this true?

As I understand it, all C. horridus is a protected species in Texas, and as such one may not possess, transport, sell or otherwise affiliate themselves with the species....That's how I understand the law to read...I could be wrong, but if you intend on obtaining any C. horridus and you live in Texas, you might want to give Texas Parks & Wildlife a call before you acquire any to get a concrete answer.....

C. Horridus is on the Threatened Species list in Texas and is fully protected, quote from TPWD,"NO person may take, possess, transport, export, sell, offer for sale, or ship any snakes listed as threatened." It gets verry expensive if caught with a threatend species. Just wondering about the pic. that is A. piscivorus leucostoma? atrox182
