need pump for 10 gal?...

high all,

well ive been doing some reasearch and i think i want a newt.. i have a 10 gal and im going to get 4 FB but i was wondering do i need to hate a pump /filtration unit hooked up with the tank or what? how periodically do you clean your tanks... any info greatly apprechiated

I kept my salamander in a ten gallon for years. I only used a air pump. Salamanders arnt too dirty so you could either siphon the stones or just carry the tank to the bathe tub and rinse it out. I did this everymonth and it worked fine.

hey i have kept 3 cfb newts in a 10 gal for years. Yes you should put a filter in the tank, it will really help with the cleaning. I change water and clean everything once every 3 months. hope this helps
