Has she been eating through this? Have you seen her ovulate? Seeing ovulation could help decide wether either of the sheds is her pre-lay. It is approximately 20 days between ovulation and pre-lay and then 30 days between pre-lay and laying according to the info I have. My girl shed the first week of March. I'm hoping for eggs this week. But I can't be sure I'll get any, this being my first time. Good luck.
Oops the dates should have been 2/23 and 3/26 in my first post... Thanks for the info. - I have not actually observed ovulation (and not sure I would have noticed it if I did
but then again I only see her for a few minutes a day to take care of her.
...if she is going into another shed now, she is not gravid yet (ie. post-ov)...look for her to swell between 2-10 weeks after this shed...or...she may shed yet again before ovulation...
In 04, I had a proven het albino female last bred in late March, she shed 3/6,4/5,5/16,7/4, and then ovulation 8/10...she fed well through mid May...
Feed your girl well and be patient...
Good luck!
