Feeding question

rcruz Mar 27, 2005 10:49 AM

I have a year and a half old male ball who is probably almost a foot and a half long. and my question is in regards to feeding. I fed him 2 days ago...and by his behavior, ie crawling up the glass of the tank and pushing on the lid, he seems like he is still hungry. I fed him a small mouse that is about the same width around as he is. should i go out and get another mouse or should i stick to the 1 mouse every 7 days regiment that i have been using. also there is no heat source shining down that he would be trying to get up to....thanks

Ball Pythons, in general, are pretty good escape artists when given the opertunity. Some will spend hours at night poking at each corner, high and low, trying to find a weak spot. The female I have had for 12 years got out a couple weeks ago. I forgot to put the weight back on the lid, DUHHH! Fortunately there are few places to hide where I keep them, found her that night. They're curious and inquisitive. Make sure your cage is escape proof.
