Ok, so i was on a trip to grenada for 2 weeks rebuilding after the hurricane. of course being a herp lover i had to check out everything reptillian that i could, so in watching the anoles one day and eating sugar cane i threw a piece of sugar cane into the garden. when i saw movement i followed it to the dropped piece of sugar cane only to see an anole biting the sugar cane, then another anole came and did the same thing, thinking that this was some territorial thing i threw another chunk of sugar cane over and shure enough the anoles started eating the sugar from that piece. My second observation was when i saw a baby anole i threw it a piece of chicken that i was eating, and it of course to be funny ate the chicken, the piece of chicen was about the length of the baby's body, and it was bone free. I just thought you anole keepers might like to know that these were wild animals and if you ever want to try something interesting with anoles, try finding some sugar cane. I plan to try and import a few (4 tops) and keep them as pets and hopefully i will find some sugar cane to grow
Demon
P.S. i know importing is bad, but these have sentimental value and i'm going to make shure it is done right, and i don't have to worry about taking a rare species out of it's habitat. (if you stop at any point outside of the main city and look, really look you will spot an anole)
