I'm so sorry about your frog. It's amazing how we get attached to the little guys, isn't it? Take care, Teresa

Thanks Teresa -
Yes, it is amazing how attached we get. She was a special frog.
That sounds so stupid, but she really was. She had escaped last year into the yard when I had her outside for fresh air. She was gone for 7 months and I found her alive and well after a rain storm last June. That is pretty remarkable. The newspaper even ran a story about her homecoming. Anyway, she will be remembered fondly and greatly missed.
Thanks for your kind words.
Joann

Hi Joann,
I know exactly how you feel. I just lost one of my little frogs a few days ago. He was a RETF. I had taken him to the vet and been treating him for a couple of weeks and had gotten so attached to the little guy. That is so cool that your frog got written about in the paper. How neat that you found him.
Thanks for the link, I'm getting ready to go check it out now. I'm almost to the point of getting another vet opinion. I hate to have to pay for another one, but it just seems odd to me that I can't find anything out about these mites. I would think if it was a serious threat to them, I would at least be able to find one article or something about it. I hate to medicate them with stuff without knowing a little more. From what I've read, people have lost their snakes and lizards after using it and I can only imagine it would be much harder on a frog. Maybe I just worry too much. I can't stand to lose another one though if I can prevent it. Thanks again and Take care. Teresa
