pic of one very bright almost hypo ruthveni!!
Those are awesome Justin....
I cant wait to get my pair of double hets from you this year.
Maybe in a few years I can produce some albino striped ruthies of my own.
Are you going to breed that hypo-ish looking one this year or next?
Are you going to breed it to a sibling or back to a parent?
Cool projects...
John Lassiter
He was produced last year from my double het for striped albino female and one of my striped males. I plan on breeding her back to the "hypoish" male eventually, probably after I produce a clutch or two of striped albino's from her 1st. Kinda hard call, breed her to her son and see if this turns out to be a genetic trait or breed a double het male and possibly get striped albinos.
Every body wants to see a striped albino ruthveni, including me, so I guess I will stick to that project until I get one, by then who knows, I may of produced a female like him to breed with. Either way it's one fun project. Another interesting trait with these is that they are very calm and tame for a king, all my ruthveni from this blood have the best dispositions, all seem to love to be handled. In fact my largest male I am quite fond of, he's pretty much a breeder/pet.
Okay THAT was simply amazing. I don't think I have ever seen striped rutheni and most people have probably laid their eyes on these for the first time.
What and HOW does one respond to that ? Allow me to catch my breath....
what's next striped albino rutheni?
Many thanks... hopefully I will produced a striped albino this year if not I have two more pairs coming on line next year, man this new blood grows fast most 04's are 24-26in already!!!, the parents of these were collected by Llyod Lemke himself and I wish he was around today to see these proved genetic.I have had so much fun with these animals , it's insane.
When I see the 1st striped albino hatch I will most likly jump up and down and do a obscene little dance similar to last years when these hatched.I hope you never get to witness this..it's quite traumatic..ask my fiance'.

Justin

This guy below will be a father soon....

.
Has anyone proving this striping to be heritable (and not a developmental anomaly from improper incubation temps)?
Neat looking beast. Pity it doesn't retain more red, because the albinos would be stunning!

man some people...
Yes it's genetic...parents are striped!!!
All babies came out 100% striped, plus I got stripes from het to stripe breeding.
there is a pic of one of the adults posted, it has TONS of red!!!
and if you looked at those pics you'd see that... babies range from double red stripes on the side like the ones pictured to animals like the adult pictured with tons of red. I'm glad not all come out carbon copies of the adults.

I guess you don't mind it when someone doesn't even give you the decency to look at all the pics and post before they start making obtuse comments regarding something you take pride in.
.....with the way you phrased the above post It doesn't surprise me much.
To make things more simple try and put all you pics on one or two posts. You have them spread out so it makes it hard to follow. It would be worthwhile for you to learn the concept of multiple pics per post so go brush up on your modern posting techniques (see the tutorials right here on kingsnake.com)
Really... it's hard for you to follow, my appologies!!!
