Easter Egg hunting @ The Lizard King

Mickey_TLK Mar 27, 2005 10:18 PM

LOL

I got to the shop today and sure enough one of my female panthers had laid me 29 healthy eggs last night. Im very exited as I havent produced a single chameleon in over 10 years of keeping reptiles as pets. We got alot of eggs a few years back, but due to incubation issues, were unable to hatch a single animal. Hopes are high this time around for success, however as we all know its a long wait.

We have 3 more female panthers set to drop any day, and 4 veileds. If all goes well we should have a full incubator of chances to break our chameleon curse....lol. Just wanted to gloat a bit.

I yes I do know how it feels to be waiting and know that soon you will hopefully be overwhelmed with babies..lol.

This week I believe were going to get a big rush of babies. I shouldnt have introduced all the male chameleons to the females at the same exact time. We had 4 of 4 female panthers end up gravid. The one laid on easter, another is digging her second hole as I type so she will hopefully lay tonight, and the other two cant be more then days away. Should make for a fun rush in 9 or more months, if I am lucky enough to have them hatch.

On top of that I have 4 female veileds set to lay any day. I have a feeling tommorow at the shop is going to be a BUSY DAY digging and checking next boxes. But thats definately not a bad thing.

Im also trying to work on a panther chameleon sheet for the web page. Here are the rough outlines of the whole thing.
