Roading Papers?

ericR Mar 28, 2005 03:40 AM

Hello.

I have been roading all over CA and AZ for a couple years. A friend showed me
how and I have been roading ever since. I am now in a herpetology/ecology class at
humboldt state university doing a frog roading survey and I am trying to find some
literature to site on this technique. Any Help finding papers on roading would really
help me out and the more scientific the reference, the better. Thanks! ericR

The species I am finding on the roads surveyed are:

Pacific treefrogs (Hyla regilla)
Red Legged Frogs (Rana aurora)
Foothill Yellow Legged Frogs (Rana boylii)
Western Toads (Bufo boreas)
Northwestern Salamanders (Ambystoma gracile)
Rough skinned newts (Taricha granulosa)
Ensatinas (Ensatina eschscholtzi)

Do you mean "road cruising"?

I find that the best way to wash a vehicle is in the mud.
