Wet Towels for a Brazillian Rainbow?

aliaime Mar 28, 2005 10:15 AM

Is it ok to use damp towels as a hide box for Brazilian Rainbow Boas? I am currently using a water fountain w/ fogger and live plants to maintain humidity. Ok????

well i might be conserned that the towel would get cold...

i have never done this, but i would think that the towel would get alot cooler then u want it... kinda like in the shower if it gets wet and sits for a few minutes it gets cold...
i dunno...
i supose it might work if the humidity and temp was good...

i would recomend trying it out WITHOUT the snake in the cage and check the temp of the towel after about an hour.... take your snake for a quick drive or let him watch some tv with your or something....

but i would recommend you test it before using it...

If humidity is a problem or difficult to maintain for your Rainbow there are numerous other options.
