mmellott Jul 09, 2003 04:19 PM

my bp is shedding yet again, i have had him about 3 months now and this is the third shed since i got him. he still has not eatin, but think that is due to the burn, which is almost completely healed now thanks to the help from you guys...he is almost 3 ft long and jus wondering if this amount of shed in this length of time is typical. i have checked him for mites, which there seem to be none present....thanks

Three sheds in three months is probably just your snake's body dealing with the burn. Normally, no snake would shed that much without eating, and I think that the fact that yours has is an indication of the severity of the injury and the way reptiles heal. Just make sure the little guy has plenty of water and keep track to see if he is losing weight. I'd say things are looking up. Good luck.
