First good catch of the season...

herpsaremylife Mar 28, 2005 06:42 PM

It is a large male southern alligator from along the coast of palos verdes, literally a hill away from the ocean. He was running across a warm dirt path as my dad ripped my r/c car down the trail and narrowly missed him thank goodness, the only other stuff ive seen this season and even that day are dozens and mabe hundreds of fence lizards. He is about a foot long with about half of his tail regrown, old wound. Id say he is a very old gater lizard. enjoy, nick.

Hey nice herp. Even nicer to meat a fellow herper into R/C cars

how cool. herping and r/c go hand in hand. go herpin and u find the best r/c spots. i used to be into highly modding those cheap versions of zip-zap mini r/c, but ive had my traxxas rustler for awhile and have just gotten back into it. its stock components, but i dremmled out alot of plastic in the front, moved the electronics around for more plastic to cut off, and got a 3000 ni-mh team orion rocket pack battery. it goes about 20mph now, and corners very tightly due to lightweight in the front. im also saving up to get a team associared rc18mt. go to ultimaterc.com and sign up an account there. what car/cars have u got?

LOL to manny. I have an RC10B3, TC3, RS4 MT, Frog, Tamiya Chevy S10, the cross country Tamiya VW, Nitro Evader BX, EP Evader ST and a few boats and several boxes of old torn apart cars that I use for parts when I need them. I am actualy going to put my cars up for a while. My research has been keeping me to bussy to play with them and now my Boy is 2Y 3M old so its time to start taking him out and teaching him the do's and dont's about herping.

are the electric rc-whatchamacallit, electric version of rc10gt, really that much better than a traxxas rustler?

Yes in my oppinion the RC10T3 or T4 is much better than the Rustler. For examply my RC10B3 is worlds better than the Bandit. Anyhoo. I packed up most of my stuff today and will finish packing it up tomorow. Just dont have time for it anymore.
