Well maybe Mondays aren't so bad after all...

glkherp Mar 28, 2005 08:55 PM

After the two bad clutches I talked about further down I got a clutch of 8 viable eggs today from an Orange Ghost male to normal female. It was very nice to see a clutch with no slugs... The other cool thing is the clutch was sired by a male that sired one of the clutches that went bad, so this revitalizes some hope in the other 3 females that are gravid by him.

Thanks again to all the people that gave words of encouragement to my post below.

I didn't have an exact weight on her at ovulation but she was 3100 grams at the beginning of the breeding season. She ovulated on 2/5 had pre-lay on 3/5 and laid on 3/28. The egg weights are:

118
118
123
123
125
125
127
127

and no my keyboard wasn't typing in duplicate.

Thanks again,
George Knaack

that's the kind of thing that started happening to us in 2004 after we got so down about slugs, eggs going bad and premature egg laying. Looks like things are looking up now!

Congrats,

Nice to see things turning around for you,I`m betting that the subsequent clutches from the orange ghost male will be good as well. Best wishes, Mark BallPython777.com
