What age is to old to breed?

2_Reptile Mar 29, 2005 12:59 PM

Hi I'm new here. My Bearded Dragon is going to be seven this November, is that to old to start breeding her? All the info that I've seen online only tells at what age to start.

Seven is way too old to be breeding. Dragons should stop breeding at 4-5 years old. I pull my females out of breeding at 4. A seven year old beardie is considered a senior.

After age 6 their clutch rate decreases and babies are not usually as big. They are capable of breeding past that age however.
