There are many places on the internet that provide good care sheets for sliders. Please look up one and find out all the necessary information before you get your slider. This way you will be prepared for its arrival and know what you are getting into BEFORE you get the animal.

I agree, it worries me that you say you are getting a baby RES soon yet you do not even know what it eats? Are you sure you know the other requirements to keep your new friend? Please do some major research before your new turtle arrives, turtles require lots of time, LOTS of space, and sometimes lots of money....

By the way...baby RES can eat turtle pellets, freeze dried krill or shrimp, fresh shrimp and other sea food, veggies, crickets and small worms or other small insects. Amoung other things

Cool. In that case i apologize for the assumption. Any of the foods i listed above are good for turtles of any age, pellets are a good staple. The main thing to keep in mind is that babies need much more protien than adults who should be eating LOTS of veggies.

Good luck!
