Who's the best????

malesh02 Mar 29, 2005 03:38 PM

I'm in the Market to purchase a few pastels in the hopes of starting a nice super pastel project. Who's the best producer of pastels out there in your opinion? I've heard good things about NERD. Any ideas??? Thanks in advance.

Could you please clarify your question; are you asking for the nicest, most helpful breeder to buy your pastels from is, or are you asking which line of pastel is the best?

Not the biggest and best breeder, but the best looking pastel. Pastels are variable....animal to animal the quality can be very different. All breeder produce different quality levels of pastels. I have seen both awesome and ugly lemons....I have seen both ugly and awesome Grazianis. Point is....Shop for the hotest pastel you can find from anyone (that you can trust) at the budget level you are at.

Thanks for the advice. I will take a peak at Graziani as well as a few other well known breeders to see what they have. Should there be a price of the animal reflect its appearence?

Better pastels are in higher demand and can sell for more $$$$.
Just like buying a nice redtail boa, the screamers are few and snatched up as soon as they get offered!

Kevin, thanks for the help. I've heard very good things about NERD. What kind of prices are we talking about for a nicer pastel? What do super pastels go for? Are they in as much of a demand? Thanks
