LOL...I can be so dorky sometimes. About 2 weeks ago I decided to breed mealies. I got my first pupa yesterday, and I got so excited. It’s food for my gecko!!!! Who gets excited about raising food for their gecko??

On a side note, I had seen them referred to as “aliens” but I could never find a photo of one. As soon as I saw it, I knew just what they were talking about. It does look just like a little face-sucker!

I know what you mean. I just started breeding my own crickets, and I looked in the bin today and found a bunch of eggs in the dish of soil that's in with the crickets. I wasn't even sure if they even would start to breed, so that is a good sign. I guess with crickets, the hard part is getting the hatchling crickets to survive. When I was breeding mealies, I didn't really do much, and it seemed that the more I neglected them, the more they produced. The weirdest thing to watch is when the pupae break out of their skin and become beetles. It is so creepy if you watch it happen with a magnifying glass.
