male recovery - breeding scenerio

smokymreptiles Mar 29, 2005 07:14 PM

How long does it usually take your male breeder to begin to eat again after the season?

How long to you continue to put him to females? I've got one girl who only has little follicles (dime size) while all the other girls have ovulated or are near ovulation.

My male is getting pretty thin now so I want him to start eating soon but do i need to keep putting him to that last female? What should the cut off point be?

Opinions needed,
Cory, Kev, it would be great to hear from you too!
Thanks!

BTW: the female that has the dime sized follicles has been laying cold for over a month but seems stalled at that point. She has been bred 10 time by the male in question.(nerd pastel) I've already raised my temps about a month ago. She went through what proved to be a preov shed for most of my other females.
