Hello guys

I live in United Arab Emirates. A friend of mine bought this snake from a not knowledgeable trader that does not know or does not want to say which snake it is or where it was found. My friend believes it’s Psammophis schokari, but I am very doubtful. May be it’s Psammophis species, but in my opinion not schokari. Please help!

To see the snake please follow:

Thank you for all your help.

That looks like Malpolon monspessulata. I'm not sure which ssp. occurs in your area but it likely is M.m.m.

It definitly is not Psammophis schokari.

Good call, Frank. I believe it's the nominate subspecies.
