lumpy leg luna

luna, my female (11 months old, 54cm) has developed a lump on her lower hind leg, which is wierd. it is solid, almost as though she has had a break, but it has sprung uo in a week and doesnt seem to bother her. anyone had any experience of this?i know it aint good, but we arent over or under feeding them and tehy are both happy and healthy and get enough calcium. wierd huh?! HELP!!

is it just one leg and one spot? Break usually do calcify heavily so that is one possibility. a Calcium deposit from too much calcium is another. Also a cyst caused by a parasite or infection. I would look for other symptoms, and see if changes in size, if it stays the same and the lizard is otherwise healthy, I wouldn't be concerned. If all the limbs seem to hard stiff muscle tissue thats a sign of MBD.

yea this happened to mine, she broke her tibia without breaking the fibia. word of advice if it turns out to be broken and in need of a cast, make sure all the toes are covered by the cast, otherwise she will jam them and break them.
