A Question about East Bay Pastels... for those who own Adults

summitreptiles Mar 30, 2005 02:46 PM

I would like some information from those who have Adult Female East Bay Columbians.

I have 6 Females that are from 2002 and 2003 and they all seem to grow rather slowly and don't appear that they are going to get over 6ft or so. Is anyone else seeing this trend with these animals or am I simply not feeding them enough? My 2002 animals are about 4.5 - 5ft and my 2003 animals are around 4ft and growing at the same pace that their older siblings did.

Any information and findings that anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Brandon Weik

that is rather petite compared to others of similar age. I think that it is just that line of animals.

Shes defenitly small for her age. She was born in July of 2001 and shes only nearing 5.5 feet.

I purchased her from Gray Rushin who noted that she was grown slowly and probably will not get to be a large colombian.

She has thickened up considerably in the 6 months or so ive had her... I think shes starting to get that adult muscle that I hear about (Ive never owned a big colombian, shes my oldest).

Its contagious... you got me hooked .

I cant say enough good things about EBV's pastel line. Their pricepoint really cant be beat for what they are IMO.

Cant thank you enough for her Gray. She's perfect in every way.

My favorite thing about her besides her great looks is how tame and mellow she is. Defenitly an enjoyable trait for a boa adult newbie such as myself.

...I hope you feel my pain. But I'm glad to hear she is doing well Ryan.

....my pair of 2001 females are both about 5'. I think they are rock solid and perfect. They will be bred for the first time this Fall at the age of 4 .

My 2001 male is around 5-6 feet and nice and thick. He eats a jumbo rat every 2-3 weeks. He would eat more than that..........But, he takes FOREVER to eat. I just don't have the patience to feed him after that.

This is my 2002 female. She is around 5.5' to 6' and about 12 pounds. She has not been pushed at all, and will easily breed this coming year at the age of 3.

Here's an '03 female that had some problems when younger. Now she is doing fantastic, but is a little small for her age at just around 30".
