2nd year size?s

hi, i have 1.1 blairs gray bands, i was wondering what normal size is for them they are two years old and growing. i want to breed them next season, so i have incresaed feeding to an appropriatley sized meal every 4 days . thanks in advance for any help.

Alterna are notorious for retaining eggs (egg-binding). Younger snakes that have been "pushed" are particularly prone to it. I feed my adult animals weanling mice every 8-10 days during the breeding season to keep them long and lean. Some animals feed great right out of the egg and mature earlier than others that may not feed voluntarily until after their first winter cooling. It's difficult for me to give you an average size for an alterna in its second year, but 3 year olds that feed well as youngsters should be able to breed without being stuffed with food.
