Greetings,
I spent about an hour, with a 4" wall paper razor, cleaning the water build up on the tank. That nasty white stuff drives me crazy.
I love it when the tank is nice and clean.

That looks like an awfully small tank for such a big turtle.

Greetings,
Yes, it is. He's about 3-4" and the tank is 20 gallon long. However, when I got him about 3 months ago he was just stuck in a round fish bowl.
Just a note to the beginners out there, don't buy a tank with the filter cut in the glass of the tank, like mine. It makes 50% of your tank useless. I'm sure my turtle would love the deeper water.

Greetings,
Oh, BTW, that's a picture of the width of the tank, not the full length.

You know what works great on removing that white gunk? Vinegar: Just the plain old white vinegar you get at any grocery store. Ever now and then, I take my guys out of their tank and drain it completely. Then I'll apply the vinegar around the tank and let it sit for about 2 minutes. It usually comes off easily without much effort at all. You just need to make sure the tank is rinsed THOROUGHLY. Vinegar = no good for turtles. In fact, if a turtle bites you and won't let go (ow) a drop of vinegar or beer will set you free.
Just random thoughts for the day...
