Waxworm question

goalielocks Jul 09, 2003 06:47 PM

I am new to this forum and have a few questions. First, I have often tried to give variety to my female leopard gecko and have noticed she refuses to eat crickets, more surprisingly she even refuses waxworms. She eats 15 mealworms every other night and has a good sized tail but will not accept anything else. Has anyone else had this problem before or have any ideas. Finally, I am looking for a reputable breeder with nice albino jungle males. Any suggestions would be appreciated

If she likes only mealworms, then feed her only mealworms. There is nothing wrong with it at all, as long as the mealworms are probably gutloaded. For a jungle albino male, I would check out knreptiles. Also, you can look at the sponsors of this forum. Here is a link to Knreptiles...

I guess it is just her personal preference. You don't need to feed leos crickets and waxies for the leos to be healthy, but most leos do enjoy a variety. That's no problem...just keep on giving her mealies and maybe try superworms (she might like those).
