It arrived in 3 separate boxes. Easy to carry down the cellar.
Putting it together was easy. I'm not a tech head. If I could do it anyone could.
Earlier posts made me think it would be heavy. Not really. Feels very sturdy. The 1/2" material seems much more rigid than the 1/4" on my other rack. Feels substantially tougher than my other rack.
Installing the heat cable wasn't too hard. Again if I could do it anyone can. They have you leave it plugged in for a few hours without a dimmer or thermostat to warm the cable making it easier to install. Nice to know if your t-stat dies your snakes cook but your house doesn't burn down.( 130 F or so).
I put it on a 3/4" plywood board and put locking casters from Home Depot on it. Nice to be able to move it as neccessary.
They now offer casters, just missed it. Oh well.
This is the BIG thing. No binding. The boxes slide in and out nicely. No more spilled water bowls! One of the #1754 boxes on the top shelf is snug but not binding and that could just be the box I'm using. Did I mention the boxes slide in and out nicely?!
Man,after dealing with boxes that bind and spill, How cool is this!
Considering how little I spent I feel like I got my moneys worth and more. It looks like somone really thought this through before building. $375.00 and shipping for a 10 slot #1754. Nice size to have allowing choice of 1 large box or two small per slot as your snakes grow. Customer service is great, they answer the phone. Dealt with "Ali", she's very nice.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good quality inexpensice plastic rack. Thanks.
Bob.
