Ground Chicken or Turkey

dragonfliz79 Mar 31, 2005 12:54 PM

Does it matter if I boil ground chicken or turkey? Are they both just as good.

Thanks,

For my blueys I offer both - remember variety is the key. I buy lean ground turkey, lean ground chicken and chicken breasts. You can boil or cook in the crockpot. I also use lean ground beef, shredded pot roast cubes, and turkey breats.

I really didn't know what to call them. But they are cubes of beef in the meat section that people often use for pot roast. I just cook them in the crockpot and they shred up really nice. I actually cook all the meats in the crockpot (8-10 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high & covered in water) versus boiling because they are more tender and shread really well.

Somebody gave us a crockpot a long time ago, and cooking for the blueys is all we have ever done with it, haha.
