Eye Problems

hellscheshire Apr 01, 2005 01:15 AM

Hi I'm new to this forum and I have a quick question. Recently my anole shed and he had some problems shedding his eye. I upped the humidity and sprayed water directly on his eye once a day hoping to losen things up. He finally finished his shed but since then there appears to be something wrong with his eye. He doesn't appear to be opening it often and when he does it appears to be a white/pinky color. I was curious about what I should do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jen

Could be a number of things..could've got some skin stuck in there, or it could be from spraying his eye (stuff in the water might have irritated it) or it could be an infection from something else. I would suggest taking him to the vet, that's probably the only you could really find out what it is, especially if it is an infection, these little guys aren't as "hardy" as many suggest.
Good luck with him, and let us know what it is...
