Bubbles

Rydair Apr 01, 2005 07:14 AM

While feeding my savy yesterday she repetedly blew bubbles from her nose. My first thought was that she was sick but she was eating a large mouse for her size and had just had a drink. Do you think it could have just been water? Her face was kindof wet from being in her water bowl or could she be sick. If shes sick ill get her to a vet as soon as possible. Let me know what you think.

Has she done this before? has she done it since then? Was the mouse f/t or prekilled?

If it is f/t and you thaw it in water then you will see water be discharged. This can make bubbles or if she just got done drinking and had a mouth full of water taking a bite of the mouse can expell water too.

Your the only one that can tell if a vet visit is needed. We cannot see the monitor. Getting a diagnoses over the internet is not the best way to treat anything.

If you see more bubbles leading you to believe they are not related with any of the above thensee a vet. If you feel unsure of what you saw then see a vet.

I just fed her another mouse and she didnt blow bubbles, she also didnt have a drink before hand. I do feed her prekilled mice that are thawed in warm water, I guess this with having a drink before hand made her have too much water in her mouth and she needed to get rid of some. She seems fine and active today but ill keep an eye out.
