Hello From a Newbie

Blackwolfsdance Apr 01, 2005 12:14 PM

Just thought I would say hello. I was wondering if anybody has seen this behavoir in a python before. Every time we approach his tank he starts climbing the walls the only time he doesnt do this is when he is shedding.

is he climbing all the time? How many hides do you have? are they a tight fit, cause they prefer them snug.

Most ball pythons will try to escape/explore at night as they are more of a nocturnal snake. I have some that are more active than others but most do that. The only other thing would be to check your temps, maybe something is really bothering the snake.

Welcome by the way!

Well he has a rock that if he curls up he barely fits. But this behavior only happens if me or my wife come up to the cage. he doesnt do this for anty other people.
