101 reasons NOT to mix species

devious_froggy Apr 01, 2005 12:22 PM

I'm compiling a list! so send me your horror stories, scientific facts, and personal experences. I'm particularly focousing on he mixing of "cheap disposible LPS herps", i.e. green treefrogs and anolies.

now i know people have done it "sucessfully" but come on, if you really done the research, not bough them because petsmart had a sale, you would know its frowned upon; really taboo as far as herps go.

any good links are appreciated as well.

There is the one posted on another forum about mixing an Anole and a Pacman Frog. It seems that the Pacman was so "nice" -- until he ate the Anole for lunch! There are thousands and thousands of similar stories that even include Green Anoles being eaten or injured by Brown Anoles which are similar in size.
