1 egg clutch

dt1977 Jul 09, 2003 08:36 PM

Several of my leos have been consistently laying one egg clutches. I was wondering if anyone has heard of environmental conditions that could create this. I normally wouldn't worry but 4 of 5 of my leos have laid 1 egg clutches at least 2-3 times this season. I am beggining to think either my conditions aren't quite right or perhaps I am having a fertility problem.
Any thoughts or experiences with this?

it could be just coincidence, but how old are your geckos? too young, or too old often cause such "problems".

3 of my geckos are 2nd year breeders the other 2 are 1st year.
all 3 2nd year breeders laid 2 egg clutches solidly last season. I know 1st year breeders sometimes lay 1 egg clutches occasionally but the extent that it is going to this season seems ridiculous in total I have had 11 1-egg clutches this season seems like some sort of record!
