Hi everyone...Haven't posted here in a looooong time. So long in fact, my account got deleted. Anywho, my dear sweet Edgar has gone into a breeding season like no other. I let down my guard for two seconds, and nearly lost my thumb. After 11 hours in the ER and inevitable surgery, my thumb is once again whole. Edgar's cute little teeth managed to slice right through a tendon and ripped down into the joint....mmmmmmmm. This pic was taken 5 days after the surgery, right after the splint came off. I hope this is a decent enough picture to dissuade buying an iguana for novelty's sake. Iguana attacks are no joke. Hope all is well with everyone's greenies. Beware the dewlap of DOOOOM!!!

WOW....I knew they could do damage, but seeing it is another thing. My ig, Irwin, has been HORRIBLE this season. He is still acting aggressive after about 5 months. If you read some of my past posts you can see how frustrated I have been. He is beginning to eat much more now, so I am hoping with all that's in me that he'll start to go back to his normal, calm self SOON. If not, I don't know what to do!

ouch!!! My son's ig Tiny attacked my hand (I had a glove on) and scared the crap out of me. My son said he hates the glove but I wear it to avoid all the cuts on my hand. Now seeing your wound I am MORE careful whenI try to get him.
