dragons quit eating crix still eating greens

boobubba Apr 01, 2005 06:33 PM

my two males have stopped eating crix since wednesday and are eating more greens. when i got them in early december they were 7-8 inches long head to tail and about 40 grams each. now they're 15 inches head to tail and one weighs 385 grams the other 295 grams.is this because of them nearing maturity? they were both pretty equal in size but the smaller one got sick and was on antibiotics for a while. there haven't been any changes, crickets have been from flukers all along, gutloading the same way. temps are good, checked with raytek temp gun. substrate is shelf liner. no impactions.

Yup, as beardies get older they will vary their diet. Mine's gone completely off of crix and will barely touch greens, but has a passion for supers. Go figure.
