yellow anaconda

my conda is about 5 feet, i just got him in january and he finally started eating for me. i gave him 2 rats so far, the first was probably medium sized and the last one has large. i have yet to see him eat, i leave the dead rats in his cage and he eats them over night. i am going to continue feeding him large rats, they are probably just a bit skinnier than the biggest part of his belly, would it be better to feed him every week or every other week. he never seems too hungry, he was before he started eating but now he just sits in the water all the time ( i know thats normal) thanks for any replies

I would stick with the 2 week feeding intervals, if he seems to trim up you can up the feedings.

thanks for the reply. i thought feeding him 2 rats a month would be right because i imagined they had a very slow metabalism. took him weeks to poo after his first rat. but he doesn't move around much unless its been a while sence hes eaten and now he eats good so hopefully i'm doing every thing right.
