...you are the answer guy and I, for one, and I am sure many others, truly appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience! So I now ask that you share something about your cham family! I've been using the forum for a few months so I am sure long-timers know more about you but I would be most interested to "hear your story" and see pix if you have some to share

The other answer guy is Big T but haven't seen much of him lately

Hi,

Thanks for the thanks! Let's see, I've kept veiled, jacksoni, deremensis, verrucosus, melleri, fischeri fischeri and fischeri multituberculatum, and cristatus. Right now I have fischeri and other assorted non-cham pets. I've also kept exotic birds, boas, beardies, pythons, and skinks in the past. Sorry I don't have digital pics of the chams to send at the moment. I've been into chams since about 1994 but have not actively bred any. Most of them have been rescues or adoptions.

WOW! Have these been resues that you foster 'til finding homes or are they keepers? Must be very tough, emotionally, and frustrating at times

You must have quite a set up! Do you live in a warmer part of the country? I can't imagine managing that with our cold winters up here (NH).

Have you kept any leaf cham's?

Well, I haven't kept all of those species at the same time! I am not a breeder, just a small hobbyist. I don't feel I can give enough careful attention to many chams at once as I keep exotic birds too and worry too much about giving up my babies. At most I had a melleri pair in a free range bedroom, a deremensis and fischeri multi who actually preferred to share a large (5'x4'x5') cage, and a verrucosus at the same time. Pretty much all the chams stayed with me once they were "given up" by someone else. I actually bought the veiled and the verrucosus. No, I live in very cham-hostile climate usually, dry and cold, so they are all indoors under Reptisuns. Whenever possible they all get basking sessions outdoors in bird cages. Most of my houses get taken over by my critters anyway, but that's the way I like it!
