i have a 6foot long tank that is split in half and was woundering if the leopard gecko was to get sick could it past the sickness to the collards in the other side?

it depends on the sickness but Yes!. Some dieseases are very very contagious. If you get a new gecko I recomened a 2 month qaurantine before even getting them near the same room. Something like crypto can kill every herp you have in a samall amount of time and there is no cur. I can be caught by just being in the same room. Always disenfect you hands with alcohol jell when going from cage to cage.
