No firm answer, but a good generality, I think:
Any animal with at least binocular vision can judge depth, but one needs the eyes pointing in the same direction to be able to do it well. Uros seem to have missed the evolutionary path of a predator where this is more important and instead have a greater range of vision with their eyes towards the sides of their heads to avoid predators (they can't be real high on the food chain). I've seen a number of my Uros watching me with only one eye, the side of the head turned towards me, instead of head-on like a cat, dog, or human.
