Anything fit this description?

ryo Apr 02, 2005 02:19 PM

I would like to get a smaller monitor, since I don't really have the room for a something as big as a water monitor. Are there any small monitors that like to be handled and aren't too delicate in captivity? I think ackies fit this description(correct me if I'm wrong), but are there any others that fit it(maybe at a lesser price then an ackie...)? Also, could you reccomend any websites/books that may help me out. Thanks ahead of time.

Save your money, buy the ackie, you won't be sorry. I have adults and some 3 month old hatchlings and they are a blast. The yellows are not that expensive and I have found my yellows to be a tad more laid back than my reds. There are other small monitors, but many are either unavailable, more expensive than ackies, or very shy and secretive like the timors. There is a Storrs on Kingsnake now, you can always e-mail the owner for more info on him. Good luck with your decision.
