Discoids are a good feeder roach and would work well with the dragons. They do have a little harder exo-skelton than dubia that would probably be better for leopards. I personally think dubia are one of the best feeders around and would be my first choice today. I do have a new species I'm raising that I think could replace crickets forever, but its going to be a few months on them. Starting with 100 is good because you never know what sex ratio you'll end up with and if you colony ever gets to big you have many options. Cool them down to stop breeding, sell some, or give some away to friends. As I tell anyone buying roaches it's all about patience. It takes a few months or so to get a colony going, but your long term goal is to not buy feeders and you will get there.

I am thinking of raiseing roaches
The discoirds, I think. Unless I would
be better off with something else.
Just do not want climbers. That I know.
Do I really need 100 breeding roaches for
2 bearded dragons, adults. 15 to 20 crickets
per week.
And 4 leopard geckos. Adults. Am new to geckos
so do not know how many they eat, yet.
How many would be practable?
Thank you, Radena
