He was not in the mood to take bite at me so I use this time to take a shot. He is in his "dark phase" due to breeding but he still looks good. I dont post many pictures of this guy due to the huge scar on his back, And I still have not come up with a name for him. It's been 2 years so you think I would have tought of one by now. Enjoy

He looks good looking face and awesome contrast. You should name him SCARTAIL you know like (scarface).

I was thinking scarface but his face it fine, If I knew the name of the character in scarface I would name him that (unless the name sucks) "Say hello to my litte friend"

Hope, I spelled your name right? That looks like one of the males that came from the 97 litter that my old friends Pete Bandre and Lyndy Johnson brought in? If you still have one of the females, would love to see her too. I got the very first Polaroid Pictures in the mail of those babies, when Pete had Brian take the photos. I have regreted not getting any ever since and do not even know how many are still out there anyway. Bobo and your two are the only three that I have found and Brian lost Bobo last year. Good luck with them, they may not have the thin uniform pattern that most people think they have to have these days, but they are a strong bloodline. Most of Brians bloodlines over the years were branched off from Bobo and the results were great babies. Do you know were any more of those 97s are?........Johnson Herp

Yep, you called it. I have a female from that litter too. I belive Lindy still has a pair, Jay Mclear has a verified female, Kemper has one of the striped males, and I think some vet owns the other striped male that useed to belong to Peter Watson. I have some older pictures of them on my website including the one that kemper owns. I will take some new pictures today with my new camera.

not the best color right now, she is more of a gold color with really high contrast but she has been breeding for the last 3 months so shes a little dark. I'm waiting for her to ovulate and I really hope she does. They produced some real smokin babies a few years back but that was with the previous owner. Fingers crossed.

Looking great bud! It is amazing how things have changed in the Hobby since those animals came in. When they came in back in 97, everybody really liked them and appreciated their unique beauty. Now, with their speckling and wide saddles, they would not turn as many heads and that's sad. Still beautiful to me though. I have often told Pete, that I thought it was a pretty good possibility that the mother was caught in French Guiana. There are some distinct populations down their that exhibit alot of the dark markings and more bronze gold coloration that seperates them from Surinames or Guyanas. Most of those distinct populations border Brazil just like my Caponi French Guianas. Caponi is not to awful far from Belem and the Belem influence is definately in my particular bloodline, BUT unique enough and different enough to be distinct as you can see in this picture. .......Good Luck......Johnson Herp
