post a while back the i was having probs getting my new dumeril to eat alot of people gave great advice just wanted to to say thanks and he has eaten for mt 2x now i moved him into a smaller set up and found out that while he wont touch f/t and i really hate to start on live that he goes after fk adult mice like crazy so again thanks to all who offered advice

I started my Dumeril on live adult mice and then switched her to F/T with no problem. The trick is to make sure the f/t mouse is heated up to body temp. The first one I tried, she grabbed and the spit it out as it was still too cold (even though it was thawed out). A little heat lamp application and WHAM!, mousey was in digestion city. Curious though, the last one she had, she drug around awhile...almost like she was playing with it...before she ate it.
She has gotten to the point where when I open the lid on her tank with the mouse dangling in the tweezers, she is immediately sticking her head out of the sheet moss pile looking for the free food. Have fun now that yours is finally eating.
