bloated auratus

corndart Apr 03, 2005 08:53 AM

A few of our auratus have started to bloat and it is not due to any changes in environment or diet, I've already spoken to Dr. Frye and he'd suggested we send a deceased frog to a veterinary pathologist. This can be rather expensive so we're interested in knowing if anyone has any ideas or opinions on why this is happening. The frogs are from the last few clutches our now retired breeders gave us. We've had a five and six legger come out of these clutches so our guess is that maybe it's genetic. Any ideas folks?

Not sure what to tell you. In the past I've had frogs that have gotten impacted and bloated up like that and died but not sure if thats the problem in your case.
