mites and warped scales

cee4 Apr 03, 2005 11:40 AM

My Blue tongue had mites, I used Sevin dust to get rid of them but I notice it has quite a few spot were the scales are warped and slightly elevated from the others. Will this go away with his next shed?

I would expect it to, or after several sheds if it is more severe.

Newprint is the best substrate for animals being treated. Easy to monitor for parasites, feeding responses, stool consistency ect. You will have to treat again for mites. Get rid of all bedding, and cage furniture that cannot be sterilized. (plastic can stay, wood cannot) Use 10% bleach and thoroughly wash and then rinse everything regularly until mites are no longer prevailent.
