worm snakes and fruit flies?

purple Apr 03, 2005 07:53 PM

Has anyone had any first hand luck, or read about successfully feeding worm/blind snakes wingless fruit flies?

I've never heard on anyone getting them to eat fruit flies. Maybe you could try with dead flies? Wingless fruit flies are still pretty good and hoppping and running around so I have a tough time seeing how a blind snake could catch enough of them to sustain itself, if it could catch any at all. You'd probably have better luck with the maggots than the flies.
