Nippy and skiddish snow corn

Centurian Apr 03, 2005 08:42 PM

Hello all, I have a snow corn who handles really well once removed from his vivarium. however the issue is getting him removed, I have to use garden gloves to get him out and calm, then I can take the gloves off and handle him bare handed. Any advice on making him less nervous or nippy when removing him would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Chad

Juvies can be nippy. Most come out of it.Dont hesitate when you reach in to grab your corn.I'm done wearing gloves for anything under 5 feet long. You might loose a little blood the first few times but you have to show them who is boss and that biting wont work.
I have some adult hypos that would see the gloves and go right into defense mode. Now I just go in(bare handed) and grab them and I havent been bitten since.Well I should say its worked so far this year.lol....Paul

Thanks for the info, now I just have to get over the fear of being bitten. Been bit 5 times so I know it is no big deal but still scares me.
