If it's an average length of 4 to 5 feet long, then I'd say a minimum 40 gallon breeder tank which it's dimensions are 36" X 18" X 16". I have mine setup in a sterilite which is about 46" X 20" X 7" high. My BP seems to like the sterilite it's in better than the regular aquarium style tank I used to have him in. If you get a sterilite, you'll have more work to do as far as giving it ventilation and making sure the lid is locked down real tight. The sterilites do seem to be better with controling the temps and humidity. Either one I mentioned will be fine.

Thank, my ball pythons are in a cage 41 X 20 X 6 1/2 inches high, and I thought that was to big for her. Thanks Scott Glover
